This is usually pursued through projects like the eTwinning or Erasmus+ ones which allow to make students reinforce their sense of belonging to a common European space with a shared cultural heritage, promote non-formal and informal learning and foreign language acquisition. Participating in this partnership the school believes that its students will gain better understanding of the value of cultural heritage and of the necessity to preserve, protect, and promote it. Working together, the partners will create a common pattern which will aid raise awareness of the potential cultural heritage has to contribute to better understanding among people in the Community. The key persons involved in this project will be the Headteacher, a language teacher (the contact person) and three subject teachers but a whole-school approach will be adopted in the implementation of the project so in case these persons leave their post in the future, they will be substituted by colleagues already involved in the project. The Headteacher, who has entered agreements with local authorities to have the school involved in the promotion of the territory, is supporting the internationalisation of the school and wants the teachers to raise awareness among the students of their belonging to the European Union and of the social and educational value of its cultural heritage to shape a tight-knit community. The L2 teacher is currently involved in promoting the school at local, national and international level through eTwinning and Erasmus+ projects. She was awarded the runner-up eTwinning European Prize 2019 for the category 12-15 with the project “Grandma’s stories in 2080” based on the UN SDGs 2030. One of the subject teachers is a teacher of Food Science and Culture of Nutrition who is expert on culinary traditions. She regularly collaborates with the L2 teacher in international projects. The other two subject teachers are a History teacher with a second degree in History of Art and a Music teacher who used to work in theatre and now collaborates with local choirs and music associations.
