They will also delve into the various aspects of the cultural heritage in collaboration with the municipality, the tourist office, museums, libraries, environmental organisations, .. and in so doing they will enhance 21st century skills and will be readier to face the challenges of today’s world.
In addition the leitmotif will be analysed from varied perspectives and while working on it the participants will contribute to strengthen the three dimensions of Sustainable Development as well as the fostering of peace. This will enable them to grasp the meaning of social responsibility and democratic participation.

This eTwinning project will be the virtual place where the participants of the approved Erasmus+ project will meet to work together.
After the partners’ presentation in September 2019, the main theme of the cultural heritage will be introduced in October/November. Then the focus will shift to the following sub-topics: festivals, historical sites, folklore and crafts, landscape and biodiversity, art, local food and culinary traditions. Lessons and related trips or visits to museums will be carried out to prepare materials to highlight strategies to preserve, protect and promote the European cultural heritage. The students will collaborate in international teams to reach the set goals. A section of the eTwinning project will especially be devoted to learning the basics of the partners’ languages regarded as part of the European cultural heritage.

Products will include ebooks, posters, flyers, videos, and virtual galleries.
The students will learn through student-centred approaches such as PBL, CLIL, museum learning, collaborative learning and discovery-based learning. In detail they will increase awareness of:
- how to promote and preserve historic places, and what they tell about their culture and ties;
- how art is a clear link among European peoples;
- the similarities and differences related to festivals, folklore traditions and craftsmanship, landscapes and biodiversity, food and culinary traditions. They will also analyse the impact food production and consumption have on the environment and become ready to adopt more sustainable habits.
Moreover they will develop their soft skills of teamwork and communication as well as problem-solving and language skills and creativity thus enhancing their CVs for future employment opportunities.
